GY-HD100E and DR-HD100
I was asked to do some tests with the DR-HD100. Unfortunately it is only working as an external HD on my cam.Recording all the different formats as promised and this while beeing triggered by the camera. It is also connecting to my pc without problems. BUT.... no info in the viewer and no playback on cam.!! Have to guess all the time is it on ??? off ??? or..... Has this something to do with the "A" upgrade .
-JVC Pro europe is VERY silent about this issue- Or due to the missing recording ability of the 100E ??? Any idears ? Regards Erik |

Hi Erik,
I'm not sure but I think I'm right in saying that you won't get playback through the cam on the 100e as this camera only has the out function. I believe you would need to have the 101e in order to playback drive footage through the camera but I could be wrong. Greg |

And to add to what Greg said, you will need the firmware update to get the on-screen info displays.

Yes that's right. The HD101E has firewire input and can view footage from the harddisk on the LCD screen or viewfinder.
