Replacement Batteries for the HD-100
Recently I bought replacement batteries from globalmediapro for my HD100. When connected to the camera they worked fine (using the charge that they had from the factory). However when connected to the JVC original charger they would not charge. What I noticed is that on the charger there is a micro switch which when the original battery is placed, it is not pressed because of a recess which there is on the side of the battery. On the replacement batteries there is no recess on the side, and this switch is pressed down resulting in the battery not charging. Should I make the recess myself on these batteries? What is the function of this switch?
Please HELP!!! |

Yes, make the recess to defeat the switch and you'll get charge.

Wow - thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for today. You helped 2 Georges.
BTW, I'm a new HD100 owner. I love the camera. |

Hmm - I signed up last year. My last name is David. Should I change my profile or something?

Ram, I'm not sure which ones these are from as I got the camera used and these batteries came with them. I read the post above earlier at work. Unfortunately, after trying the suggestion at home the batteries still didn't charge. But at least I know where to buy them now.
Nate, I feel left out that my last name is not showing :-) George Quote:
