2.35 Guideframe
Does anyone know of a way for one to frame anamorphic widescreen with the HD100, I know the XL H1 has this feature built in in the viewfinder, what methods aside from just guessing can one use to get that proper framing...

No, I'm curious to know if there is any way to frame this sort of thing without using an external monitor or just guessing..?

I personally would:
1-make a DV tape with a 2.35 frame on it 2-Play back tape on camera, put in pause, 3-Use the skinniest pinstripe tape you can find at the art supply store and apply tape to LCD in accordance with the still frame from tape. You can also take the eyepiece apart and apply tape to the viewfinder LCD, but the LCD itself is about 2/3" and this would be very difficult to do with any accuracy. I'd just go with taping the LCD and external monitor.
