When I used to shoot with my Sony PD-150, I'd use 30shutter (30fps). it gave the illusion of slightly slower movement. It actually blurs it a bit, but it slightly offset that "live video" look to a more 'filmic' look. Overall, you'll definitely get a different image.

i haven't tried this with the HD100, but i'm thinking 30p with 30shutter might do the same thing. it doesn't really look like film, but it does change the image a little so it doesn't look so 'newsy-beta-ish'.

but for broadcast, i think we should keep to 1/60 shutter.
