What's an HD100 worth used at this point?

I'm new to this forum, and have found many of the discussions very insightful if not a little bit censored at times. I have high hopes for this camera, and am hoping to pick one up used. There are a number of used HD100's coming available from dealerships who won't rent the camera out for whatever reasons, and many videographers are selling their units off. I hope this doesn't indicate another better camera is going to be released. What is a used hd100 unit worth with say 200+ hours on the drum, but less than 500? Can dead pixels indeed be corrected? If so. What's the procedure? Does it have to be returned to JVC? Does anyone have any feedback as to whether or not the camera improves with time, as the bugs get worked out like a new car? Or do the issues become more prominent as time goes by. Does the split screen become more prevelant? Do more dead pixels show up? Any feedback users can provide would be much appreciated. I am hoping to get a good deal on a used HD100. If anyone is selling. Let me know. I am looking to spend no more than $4500.00 depending on the condition of the unit.

Thanks,

You can get a brand-new one from B&H for not much more than that -- $4999 is B&H's asking price.

A new unit is pretty close to your price range plus you get the warranty.
