wide angle conversion lens
When I bought the HD100 I was curious to see how much the wide angle conversion lens was, and this is no joke but they said it costs about US$8,000 is that true!? Fair enough it would be about a grand but 8?
has anybody used it? any feedback? |

They've quoted you the 13x lens. The adapter is another animal.
Give them this part number WCV-82SC or Try here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...x=4&image.y=11 |

Right, two totally separate things. You said "conversion lens", so presumably you're talking about the wide-angle adapter that fits onto the front of the stock lens, right? That's what Stephen pointed you to.
The $8,000 item would be for the optiona 13x zoom lens, a replacement for the stock lens. And actually, $8,000 sounds pretty darn cheap for that particular lens, since it carries a retail price of $11,995. Not saying that $8,000 is "cheap", of course, but for a $12,000 item to be offered at $8,000 is quite a discount. |
