Dr-hd100-80

Anyone have any experience with the JVC DR-HD100-80 yet? I am about to buy one. Is it battery operated? There was no information about that on the JVC site. Any feedback about it would be great.

Thanks

It is an OEM JVC branded version of Focus FS-4 with the HDV upgrade. Specs are the same but it will apparently have some talkback features specific to the HD100 that the FS-4 doesn't. I hope it can also remove pulldown from 720P60 to create 720P24 files.
Yes it is battery operated.

I haven't read any feedback because I don't think it has actually shipped to anyone yet. My dealer has been asking about availability from JVC for two months but no one seems to know. It was also suggested to me that the product is destined for Europe first. I'm not sure if there is any truth in that.

I just ordered one and they told me it was shipping in 2 business days, but you can never tell with some of the Internet companies. B&H photo also seems to have it available, but they are asking $200 more. I got one for $1500 =) If it comes through. From reading you can import directly to FCP5 without the need to create a file. That is according to JVC. http://pro.jvc.com/prof/Attributes/f...l_id=MDL101548

That thing looks sick!
