HD251 4.2.2 output ?
Hi all, our DOP would like to shoot some scenes on my GY-HD251 which now had a long period of rest. I seem to remember that the cam outputs HDI in 4.2.2 as well as HDV in 4.2.0. Can anyone confirm this, and if so, which connector, and with which setting ? Is it then 720p or 1080 i ? We shoot in 25p.
Many thanks ! |

JVC Pro FAQ
"Our GY-HD250U's HD-SDI output conforms to SMPTE 292M with a nominal data rate of 1.485 Gbit/s. The signal is 4:2:2 and uncompressed. Audio from the camera's inputs is embedded in the HD-SDI signal. The camera also provides a compressed MPEG-2 signal at a data rate of 19.7 Mbit/s via its IEEE-1394 connector. This signal used when recording on the DRHD100 hard disk drive or dubbing to the BR-HD50U ProHD deck. It can also be used to feed a microwave transmitter as in our Libre system." It can output a 1080i signal through the HD-SDI connetor, but not through the Firewire port."
