The P+S Technik mini35 can be bought with a Nikon mount.
http://www.zgc.com/zgc.nsf/product/pstechnik Also, the Red Rock Micro35 Indie bundle can be purchased with a Nikon mount. http://www.redrockmicro.com/ But if you literaly want to stick a Nikon lens on the camera body (remember the crop factor going from 35mm to 1/3" and the back flange length is going from 43mm to 31mm) you could talk to Lee Bosher. He could manufacture a mount. He already manufactures a XL to Nikon mount adapter, so JVC bayonet should be easy. http://www.lesbosher.co.uk/ |

The Guerilla 35 looks very promising as well. I hear it runs about $900.00 and looks alot sharper than the Redrock Micro.

Yeah. Their demo reel looks WAY better than the redrockmicro demo. They don't have any photos of the rig on the site yet though. They must be updating it because I couldn't even get their site to work yesterday.

Not all the G35 demos look sharper than the Micro35. The one shot with the Angenieux for example doesn't. The one shot by Brockett do, but they don't say which camera it is. It could be a Z1. I think the Micro35 are all SD, I think DVX100. I think when it comes to sharpness in those adapters, all that matters is the quality of the lens you shoot with, the quality of your relay lens and the quality of your macro lens. The gg only counts for how much grain etc. So, if all things are equal, my guess is that you will get the same sharpness. If you use the same lens to shoot and the same camera, and the G35 looks sharper, it's most likely yusing a sharper macro/achromatic. It should be easy to replace the macro and I doubt it would cost the extra $400. Just my opinion.

While it is true that the G35 does indeed look sharper I have seen stills posted that used the redrockmicro2 or M2 and it looked super sharp (I think it was using a FX1 or Z1, I can not remember)

Anhar - the Redrock M2 stills were from a stock DVX100A, not HD
they are here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t=33769 The Redrock adapter is the only other product shipping adapter right now other than the P+S.

Not really true Brian. The Letus35 is also shipping. Besides, it doesn't have the 6 weeks waiting time, which has been stretched to as long as 9 weeks in some cases. The SG35 will also ship soon as I understand. So the M2 is all but alone in the market. |
