HD201 - PC firewire connection problem
I've got a problem with the firewire connection on an HD201. When I try to connect to a PC with the 6-6 pin cable the computer does not even 'see' the camera. I've tried it on two PCs, yet when I use a 6-4 pin to my laptop it is there but there is no device control available (Premiere Pro 2). It will capture but only manually.
Can anyone point me towards a solution so that I can capture direct to my editing PC with CS4. I have contacted JVC in London but they say have never heard of this problem. |

check your firewire adapter in the PCs....does it work well for other cameras? If your computer cannot detect the camera it's not a software issue. Are you following the manual correctly? Don't hot-swap when power is on...( I hope you know that already).
