Lost Pixel in playback
I seem to have a pixel missing. I shot a Vigil last week and on playback there is one little white dot in all the shots. Is this dust on my sensor or is my camera going bad? Little worried about this I must admit.
im shooting on the JVC GY_HD110u stock lens |

It's a dead pixel. This can happen on all CCD cameras. JVC has a fix for it in the menu.
A search of this forum came up with this. http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/jvc-gy-h...ad-pixels.html Stuart Campbell's post explains how to fix it. |

When this has happened to me, the white dead pixel was too noticeable,
so I made an alpha file the same size as the video (1280x720) with a gray pixel right at the spot where the dead pixel was, and overlaid the video with it. The gray blended in so much better. Ed |
