Hoodman adapter

Has anyone used this with a JVC KA-MR 100G SxS Docking Recorder. I have one that I would like to put on my GY HD 250 if I can use less exspensive cards. It would be great if the hoodman works

Do you mean the ExpressCard SDHC adapter?

It won't work on the HM700 because there is no USB connection to the SxS module. This adapter works in the firmware updated EX1 and the EX3 because the USB capability is enabled. As far as I can tell it just doesn't exist in the KA-MR100G so no firmware update will ever add the capability.

Thanks Tim for your speedy responce. Not very good news though. I was hoping to add this to my HD 250 instead of a Firestore. But the cost of the SxS cards are high. It will cost more for the card than what I paid for the recorder. Are there any less exspensive cards out there. everything I see is $600.00 to $900.00 If anyone nows of one thats cheaper let me know I am in the marget now

John: Sony just announced a new series of SxS cards to coincide with the EX-1R and new 2/3" XDCamEX camera. They have a lower expected life expectancy but a lower per unit cost as well. Can't point you in the right direction or give an MSRP though.
