HD110 Footage - Codec issues - Vista
Hi guys
I've just re-built my machine. Vista Ult - 64Bit sp2 I'm having real problem with the mpeg footage playing from my HD110. As standard Vista Ultimate doesnt have this codec and although I have tried a couple of different codec packs I cannot get the footage to play properly. It basically starts playing then jumps forward/freezes. Anyone having or seen any similar problems? - Any help very appreciated....this is driving me nuts as I've got editing to get done..... What editing software are you using? What software are you using to capture? Before I upgraded to Windows 7 I had Vista Ultimate and never had a problem, but I'm running Sony Vegas 8 and Adobe Premiere CS4. Perhaps one of those programs installed the codec you're missing.

Hi Chris
Premiere CS4 but I was getting the freezes in any player. - I was using the k-lite codec pack in a previous build with no problem. The only difference being this is now Vista SP2. I've now found that using MainConcept Ref codecs sort the issue! - God knows why !?? I've had a lot of codec issues using Vista and never had a problem with Xp! |
