JVC HD 100 lens interchange capability
I've been out of the loop for a few months, and have just learned about JVC's new HD camera with interchangeable lenses. Before I sell my XL-1s and upgrade to an XL-2, can anyone tell me if the JVC HD product is going to allow the use of 35mm lenses. I can't tell from the literature or existing posts.
Thanks. |

Hi Steve,
So far there is at least a Nikon 35mm adapter for Nikon still photo lenses and a P+S Technik Mini35 converter for 35mm motion picture lenses. I doubt Canon will make one available for the HD100 since this is a competing product, but most likely there will be a third-party solution for Canon still photo lenses with the HD100. |

Guy, check out this site: http://www.prohd.co.uk/
That's the OpTex UK site; they're a dealer for the HD100 in England. I believe it's their Nikon adapter they're using in that image. It's a mechanical adapter only, no electronics, so no communication with the lens, but pretty cool nonetheless. Hope this helps, |
