DR-DV100 HD (Firestore HDD for HD100)
Did anyone get any further info on the DR-DV100 at NAB?
http://pro.jvc.com/pro/pr/2005/nab/p...s_release.html If it has "four-and-a-half hours" of record time, sounds like it'll be a 40GB drive. Any word on price? Any chance of it having swappable hard drives? |

It's a version of the FS-4, so it appears that the drives aren't swappable.

It's a re-badged FS-4, and they quoted a price of $1500. It sits on top of the camera via the cold shoe, and is tethered by a firewire cable. No swappable drives.
They did say it had more integration with the camera than a regular FS-4 would have, but didn't spell out exactly what that meant. |

Although we saw it mounted to the top handle, Ken Freed assured me it would also mount behind the camera as well (behind the battery).
