Digital Producer magazine just put up a new article by Charlie White on JVC ProHD, including the new GY-HD7000, a 2/3" CMOS camcorder with 1920 x 1080 native resolution, that shoots in 720p and 1080i. There's also now detailed pictures of the GY-HD100U. The article includes a lengthy interview with Dave Walton, National Marketing Communications Manager of JVC Professional Products.

Well, that settles the question about the nuclear-tipped-GPS-SETI decoder, a.k.a. "the round thing behind the handle": it's an earphone (or a glossy bagel). Curious doodad.
Thanks, Chris & Steve. |

If you can play cool tunes through that "glossy bagel" during really boring shoots....this thing might be worth the cost! lol

Yeh, mebbe you could download from iTunes ...
... but be careful, or you'll have to explain to the client why the score behind the CEO's heartwarming speech got changed from "Adagio for Strings" to "Baby Got a Big Ol' Butt."
