New JVC HDV camera...a teaser
Hey, that certainly looks like an interchangeable lense? Actually, it looks like a very expensive lense to me. Doesn't it?

As I recall the price estimates, you could buy four z-1's from the price of the JVC...

Yes, that would be the professional 2/3rd-inch shoulder-mount model they had promised from last year for $20K, but I *think* this is not the only HDV piece forthcoming from JVC. Thanks Murph,

the new JVC:
3 ccd 1280 720 24P 25P 30P baionet mount 1/3" small size (about same as dvx100) minidv at first 19 Mbit (nab 2005) shoulder adapter then a 50 Mbit 24P 25P 30P 50P 60P (nab 2006?) about 5000 € with 16x fuji lens this info are from a photo show in Milano Italy. that does NOT look like a 1/3 inch lens or ccd looks like 1/2 or 2/3 to me..

as for the question of "how cna I tell" well look at that swf file...do you see a 1/3 inch lens? I would say no..i see a 1/2 inch lens or bigger....

tell ya what.....JVC I HOPE YOU HEAR THIS ALSO BECAUSE IT"S NOT JUST ME:
If that camera has un-compressed OUT via HD-SDI or RGB HD with greater then 8bit and BEFORE compression I will buy one as soon as they are ready forsale... this will be a BREAKTHROUGH for the camera industry |

in the image from flash file the lens is like a 7.3 ~ 116 But the manager about lens said 1/3 inch Baionet mount when I asked about bitmap He call another man who said at first 19 Mb an the a second version 50Mb I suppose the 50 Mb in Nab 2006, but who know? Francesco |

if this cam doens't have at least 1/2 chips i won't buy it no matter what are the other specs
