Need help with capture
Hi all.
I posted this issue in the Mac editing forums a couple days ago and can't seem to get an answer to my problem, so I'm bringing it to you JVC gurus. I understand that the HD100 can play back 24p and 24pa footage from the Panasonic DVX100 for capture. I have footage shot on my dad's DVX100 that I'm capturing through my HD100, and the Log and Capture window in Final Cut Pro works just fine. But when I get to the end of tape (and also when I stop capture manually), Final Cut immediately tells me it is unable to read the movie file just captured. I'm set up to capture NTSC-DV 23.98, and I've tried with NTSC-DV 23.98 2:3:3:2 Pulldown as well, and I can't get any clips saved in my browser! There's plenty of room on both my primary scratch disk and also on my backup, so I cannot figure out where my problem lies. Is there something I'm missing regarding the camera setup or the DVX footage that might cause this problem? Thanks a lot everyone! Chris
