"Audio Lock Indication" in status screen. What does it mean?
The Instruction manual in pag. 25 says:
"Displayed when the audio signal from DV recording or playback is locked to the video signal". What exactly does it mean? Channel 2 is blocked & unable? Probably I've a thick day... Thanks in advance. |

I believe that refers to the DVCAM format of "locked audio" as opposed to DV format of "unlocked audio". Locked audio is better because the audio is less likely to go out of sync with the video when editing. The video and audio are "locked" together.
