Best playback deck for jvc origination?
If anyone has a name and model for what they regard as a reliable deck for playing back JVC GY-HD100 camera origination for capture, also working advice on the product, advice would be appreciated.
Currently two cameras have consumed four firewire ports between them. The owner is looking at using a tape deck for capture so he can quarantine the cameras from any future contact with computers or capture systems.. He is not all that keen on buying in a JVC deck if the same firewire issue exhibited by the cameras is present in a tape deck. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. |

Only one deck that will work for JVC originated 720P and that's the BR-HD50.

Bob,
maybe you can find old stock or 2nd hand JY HD-10 camera. This can be used as a playback camera for jvc m2t. I also read that even though the specs say it doesnt shoot 24P. It can playback a tape shot in 24P by the hdxx camera but only thing is you cant see an image on the lcd but it can transport it via firewire. Ted |

Shaun and Ted.
Thank you for your responses. I have advised Steven Rice the JVC owner. Hopefully the BR-HD50 and HD10 are a little more robust in the firewire department than the HD100. |
