Best Slo-Mo
I have a JVC GY-HD200U(B)
I was wondering what settings yall have gotten the best non studdery slow mo. I shot a shot I was planning on slowing down for a slow mo look in 24p and it turned out very skippy when I slowed it down in premiere pro. Any advice on a getting a good slow mo with this camera? |

My understanding is that all video is at 30 fps. The 24fps illusion is accomplished by double printing 6 frames of your 24fps original effect footage every second (30 frames of video). When you slow-mo your 24fps footage you are making the double frame stutter more apparent rather than seeing the 24fps "hic-up" as a "film-look" illusion. My suggestion is to shoot 30fps on whatever you want slowed. That way you won't exaggerate the stutter.
Regards.

Cameron, since you have a HD200U go ahead and shoot footage at 60p then drop it into a 24p timeline premiere pro. Should be instant slo-mo! Don't forget your adjust to a faster shutter.
