According to this website it will be available in March, although this is in the UK.

Would working with the XDcam EX format have any real benefit over quicktime HDV? Or is this just about shooting solid state?

That page says that the 200&250 shoot flavors of 720, but only the *200* shoots 1080. Is that correct, or did they mean to say that only the 250 records in 1080?
edit- never mind, answered my own question. odd that the cheaper one does both... |

For delivery to clients who have an XDCam EX workflow, this is huge. For your own in house use, you'll have to decide.

It's great that the 200 series is still being catered for, it takes the sting of the new 700 out a bit, which matters; Thanks JVC! I expect that the audio is OK on this one.
