Jvc gy-dv 5000
I know this is not the correct forum for this camera, but was wondering if anyone could lead me to one. We are using this camera for a lot of streaming video content, but yet it doesn't seem to have a "true" 16x9 feature. So I have several questions that I won't post here, but was curious if anyone could lead me in the right direction.
Our workflow for this content is: DV-5000 / Firestore FS-3 / Premiere Pro 2.0 Thank you in advance, -Dustin |

The JVC GY-DV5000 has 4x3 CCD's. No true 16x9 therefor. You do have the option to work in letterbox if I remember correctly. You can use that by absence of a more recent, true 16x9 camcorder.

I had one and it was a pretty decent camera. No 16:9 but you could letterbox it in the cam however if memory serves me, it did squish the image and frankly didn't look all that good. You might try it and see if it will fit your needs.
I can't remember where in the menu it was though. Don |
