Worried about hardware upgrade on JVC GY-HD101E
Hi everyone,
I recently contacted JVC Greece about upgrading a 101E camera to the latest hardware/firmware. The JVC service said they have to attach a wire from a silicon board to another, and add an extra resistor, in addition to the firmware upgrade. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience, and if this procedure is normal, since it has me worried a bit. In the end all I want to do is to be able to capture uninterrupted clips from FCP :) |

That's normal.
This is why the (A) upgrades could not be done by the end user. Once you have this done future firmware updates can be downloaded and applied without JVC's assistance.

Nick, It's a small modification.
After a day I could pick-up my camera again. It solved all the issues I had on the HD100 that time.
