Thank you all for the help and advice. I just ordered the ENG Pro Rig from Varizoom and a video monopod from Bogen, hopefully that will help. This camera is kind of a pain compared to the PD170's I'm used to, but the footage is SPECTACULAR.

Well, it turns out that the ENG Rig is not actually made by varizoom and as a result they are no longer stocking it. Rats. Ahh well, the monopod I bought should surely help some.

there are a lot of posts here by Danny Natovich and the ENG pro rig I have was made by him sold by Varizoom. I would contact Danny and first make sure it would work on the 100 series and then buy it directly from him. He's in isreal but has fast shipping.
The monopod will help quite a bit. I used to use one for my fullsized cams when a tripod wasn't the thing to use but before the ENG rig. Don |
