is it possible to record 1080i with 200 cam
Is it possible to record 1080i via firewire to a hard disk recorder or hard drive?
If anyone has done it, I'd love to hear what hard disk recorder you used and what the file types are. Thanks!

Yes absolutely possible... but only with the HD200B. You can use the DR-HD100 or similar m2t recording device (including a laptop with OnLocation or Scopebox)

i would love to see some sort of upgrade if it's even possible. I bought my 200U just before the B's came out. I would have gotten the B. It's always that way for me that way, just when I buy in the cool upgraded model comes out. Say-la-vee.

I am getting my 201E upgraded with new firmware to enable 1080i output to hard drive via firewire. I read something about it on the JVC site then rang my local JVC dealer. They confirmed the upgrade.

1080 > 1394... How exactly?
Upgrade to output 1080 via 1394 is what JVC has for cameras purchases post-Feb 2008.
Question... for those that may have had this performed... how do you activate the 1080 output via 1394? This is ONLY for those who had their cameras UPGRADED and not for those cameras natively have this capability. |
