Any thoughts on Switronix Pro-X Batteries?
I am presently looking at purchasing the JVC DT-V17L2D 17in HD/SD LCD Monitor, and also doubling the number of our IDX Endura-7S so that they can be used by both my JVCGYHD201 and the field monitor.
However, a supplier is recommending that for the same price as an Endura-7S (V-Mount 70Wh) battery, they could offer a 90Wh Pro-X battery... (http://www.dvbuyer.co.uk/details.php?mn=0&PID=353) Continuity tells me stick with the IDXs... but then for the same price I will get more 'bang for my buck' as it were, which when running a field monitor is likely an asset! Any thoughts? Dan

I have a Pro-X 90Wh and a 60Wh for my hg2251 and they are working well. I didn't have any IDX before so i can't compare. What i know is that the pro-x batteries are bigger and more heavy than the IDX, that probably why they are cheaper.

Thanks Fabrice for your observation regarding the Pro-X being larger and heavier -that could be an issue. I will check the exact specs.
As a side point, I couldn't help but notice they were using IDX batteries on the set of Quantam of Solace.... Cheers Dan
