From Firewire to full screen on a monitor...
Hello everybody,
Is there a software which will allow me to plug my HD251 to my mac through the firewire, and see all the mpeg2 flow in full screen on my monitor ? Just to use my 20' monitor for doing a good backfocus (by the way my back focus ring broke after less than one year, and it's out of warranty). If it works it can be a good way to use our computers' monitors for shooting (no run and gun, for sure). Fabrice. |

VLC however does not do that on OS X. Something about drivers, but I forget exactly. Try PreDView.

Edward, you're right, VLC doesn't work (or i don't know how to configure it). But neither PreDView. The software is from 2004, and sure doesn't handle the 50p from the HD251.
Anyone else has an idea (if not for 50p, for 25p ?) ? |

Yes and it works in NTSC land here. Check but I'm sure PAL is not a problem.
