White Shading Adjustment on 251

When using the Mini35, is it recommended to adjust the White Shading for every lens (in our case a set of 4 Zeiss HS) or does one set it just once for the Mini35 (or its relay lens) ?

Up to now we've just left the shading on preset and white paint R/B on normal, with good results. But maybe some tweaking can get us an even better image.

Thanks

If the lenses are matched (all Zeiss of the same series) then it shouldn't be necessary to adjust white shading more than once. Decide on your T-stop before setting the white shading because you may see a shift as you adjust the aperture.

Tim, does this mean that the whiteshading should be adjusted basically before every take, or at leat in view of each scene's average lighting conditions ? or is this going too far ? how do you handle this in practice for optimum results ?
thanks
