Schneider on Fujinon?
Does anyone have or use a Century Precision Optics 2x Extender 1/2" Bayonet Mount on their GY-HD100. I was wondering how it performs...light loss? Can a subtle Depth of Field be attained?

I haven't used it but I can tell you that an extender won't affect your depth of field other than change the effective focal length and aperture. Also, you would need the ACM-12 to adapt to 1/2" for use with a 1/2" lens.
I believe a 2x extender will double the focal length yet reduce the usable aperture by 2 stops.

BTW, I read the Schneider literature about the benefit of "shallow depth of field" and I just need to tell you that yes you will have shorter depth of field, but not as a result of some magic design in the adapter. The laws of physics/optics are simply at work and if you double the focal length (which in essence is what an extender does) then you will have half the depth of field. Keep in mind you will also half the angle-of-view so don't plan on shooting any wide shots without removing the whole rig and putting your 1/3" 5.5mm lens back on. If you need telephoto ranges I would recommend exploring used 2/3" lenses with long focal lengths and purchasing the ACM-17 adapter. Alternatively you could also look into the Nikon adapter and cheaper Nikon SLR lenses. Also, there are now some wide range 1/3" lenses from Fujinon and I believe the latest one has a 2X doubler built in.

Yes! That's the one you need. It will work with the stock 1/3" lens - no adapters needed.
