Dropped frames from JVC GY HD-110E

Hi, I'm capturing HDV (720/25p) from my JVC GY HD-110E camcorder into Avid Liquid 7.2 and getting dropped frames occasionally.

Can't seem to figure out the cause of it. The computer is Avid certified all the way.

If I play the tapes to the trouble spots and recapture - no dropped frames in those spots.

Anybody else experience this problem?

Seamus.

In those cases most likely other software is interrupting your capture.
Check if Virus scanners and other resident tools are running and disable them. Try again after that. In my case it was Norton Antivirus on PPro.

Thanks, Marc. I'll try that.
