Problem capturing DV footage using HD111 as a deck
Hi,
I have been capturing some footage using my HD111 as a deck. The footage was actually shot on a Sony PD170 (I think) but it seems to play ok in SD mode. However, half way through the second tape there is a time code break. Premiere CS3 refuses to capture anything past this point. The camera LCD screen momentarily flips back to HDV mode (that is my default recording mode on the camera) and then back to SD. It shows the un-capturable clip on the LCD (and even using the XP camera preview window in 'My Computer') however it just will not capture it. When you press record it says capturing but with zero showing for amount of footage captured. When you press stop it brings up a message saying zero frames captured. Any ideas please? |

Did you try changing the Playback from the menu to DVCAM or DV? That will force it into only that mode.
In VTR Mode open up the menu and look at PB Tape, change it from auto to DVCAM or DV, whatever you were using. Or try capturing outside of premiere. If you are on a PC, try the free capture software windv: http://windv.mourek.cz/ |
