Edit 720P 50, OSX questions

Hi,
I want to edit the 720p50 mov files I get from my DR HD100. Iknow that FCP 6.1.2 can handle this sort of files.
Questions:
1. Do I have to upgrade from Tiger to Leopard in order to install FCP 612 and 613 over the FCP 6?
2. Does it worth to do it ? = is Leopard stable and friendly with FCS 2 and Adobe CS3?
3.Do I have to erase the hard drive where I want to install the new OSX or I can install the Leopard over the Tiger.
First, I want to test the new OSX on my laptop (MackBook Pro last generation) and if it works I'll do it at the studio (8core MacPros).
Any ideea is welcome.
Thank you,
Eugen

Only you can answer this question, I mean if it's worth it. For me it was, the new Finder with QuickLook, Spaces and Time Machine were all very appealing features. Time Machine saved my butt a few times already.
All Adobe CS3 apps from Master Series have been upgraded to be Leopard compatible. Premiere, After Effects, Encore are all working just fine.

You can upgrade Tiger to Leopard without erasing your hard disk.

Good luck.

Thank you very much Paolo.
Just for the record.
Yesterday we finished broadcasting the last episode of "Clanul Spranceana".
This was a one hour comedy drama. Your have credits on each of the 32 episodes that we produced for the first season. I have used TC3 on my Gy HD 251 cameras.
Thank you very much for your high value input.
Eugen

I'll try to edit some footage and put them on the net.
All the best,
