I got an email yesterday from Avid CEO, Gary Greenfield outlining their new corporate strategy.
He stated how Avid was going to listen more to their clients and develop solutions that meet their needs. I emailed him back saying it was too little too late, as I had jumped ship to FCP. Some minutes later I received an out-of-office auto-reply. What a plonka! Maybe next month he'll do a course on corporate communications and make sure he doesn't screw up his next attempt to rustle up some business! |

isn't that the same thing they said in March when they announced they weren't going to NAB?

Avid's decision not to attend NAB is more of a statement about NAB than it is about Avid.
Remember, Apple bailed out as well. Expect more companies to follow suit next year. |

While I sure that's true Chris, spending big bucks when your hemoraging money makes it a no brainer for a company like Avid. In addition to Apple, I know Digital Juice also passed last year.
