HD200 has Green stripe when gain at 12db?

Last night we videotaped a court hearing and it was a bit dark. We wern't allowed to use lights so we bumped the gain up to 12db. The viewfinder looked fine, but when we looked at the tapes at the studio, there is a faint green horizontal stripe on the left side about 1/3 of the way down and half way across the screen. This only happened on the tapes that had the gain up to 12db. The one tape at 6db looks fine.

It's very faint and I'm sure the client won't notice, but it screams out at me.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Miles.

Hmmm... is the horizontal line fixed regardless of camera movement, do you have a screen grab?

It could be that you need to make a white shading adjustment for your lens. The high gain may have amplified the apperance of the color cast as well. If you see a green horizontal color cast about a 1/3rd of the way down you might want to try doing a lens shading adjustment and try your gain settings again.

Can you post a frame grab Miles?

It is either a CCD/DSP problem that may require service or as Hunter suggested white shading adjustment and it just happens to be noticeable on a line shaped object in the frame.

Thanks for the replies.

The slight green tint is fixed as seen in the two shots below.

I'm currently bogged down with a touch of the flu so I can't do any specific testing in our studio right now. I was going to simply point the camera at a white wall with the gain up to 12db and see if there's a green tint. Are there any other testings I should do?

Thanks again.
