Canon lenses

By any chance will the XL-2H lenses work with a GY-HD100? If not what are my lense options for the GY-HD100? Im thinking wide and affordable.

No they're not compatible.

Your options for an affordable wide-angle are pretty limited.

As for a lens your looking at shelling out nearly $10k for a Fujinon 1/3" 13:1 ProHD Wide Angle Lens.

Leaving aside lens converters (Mini35, M2 etc) the only other route to go is the lens adapter one. Personally, I hate these things as they have too much chromatic aberration and optical distortion. Some users love them, go try one and make your own mind up.

Of course, you could also just stand back, that's what I usually do...

there's a wide selection of affordable wide angle converters you may choose from - schneider-optics, 16x9 inc., etc...
