out of warranty service
I purchased an HD100 in March of 2006. It had drop outs and SSE out of the box. Neither was too bad and I shoot around it. But now dropouts come every 5 seconds. Anyone had luck getting JVC service outside the warranty for chronic/known issues?

It what country?
In the UK goods have to be fit for purpose and problems like you describe are not acceptable on a professional camera. Warranties are only ADDITIONAL to your consumer rights. Your consumer rights do not expire with the warranty. Companies do their best to convince consumers otherwise but the majority of out of warrant repairs should still be done for free by law. I've had this argument many times and you tend to win!
