Hard Drive camcorder used as remote Deck
I have a friend who is using the JVC GYhd100U and is wondering if it is possible to use one of the JVC consumer camocorders that has a hard drive to stream the video out from the JVC GYhd100U via firewire to be recorded on the hard drive of the remote camcorder. Is this at all possible? If so what details or problems should I know about it. Basically the problem is it seems like there is there's no cost effective deck or camera for jvc off loading, which is a let down.

The FireStore DR-HD100 portable FireWire hard disk recorder is made specifically for this application -- that's what your friend needs in this case.

Thanks Chris, I figured as much just wanted to double check. I'll send him the firestore route for sure then.
