D-tap connector-where to buy?
When I ordered DR HD100 recorder for my hd200, I thought, it will be possible to power the the DR HD100 recorder from camera battery. Then I realized its possible only with recorders own battery. So I made a cable, which connects dr hd100s DC power input with batterys DC input (which is used for simple charging - Globalmediapro baterry). This way works, I can power the recorder for a long time. But the problem is, that the connector does not stay in the battery, it tends to loose, so I have to fix it with something.
The best way for me would be to get D-tap connector, to firmly put it in batterys D-tap hole, instead of DC input. But the problem is, that I cant get it in Czech republic, so my question is, where can I get this connector? Anyone else has better way of powering DR HD 100? I dont want to get another DR HD greater capacity battery, I need to have the camera on for 6 hours or so. Thank you Petr Bastar |

Hi Petr -
We purchased a couple of D-Tap cables from a UK company called Vitec, I have given you a link to Ian Siney (sales rep) who was very helpful. They are about £35.00 + delivery Ian.Siney@VitecGroup.com Regards: Stu www.studioscotland.com |
