Usability question

I'm considering a GYHD110, and have a couple of usability questions.

I'm wondering how convenient/inconvenient you find it using the camera on a tripod. From looking at the manual I can see that the zoom control is on the lens support handle, which I think will be just fine with the the camera on the shoulder, but I'm wondering how you zoom & pan when it's mounted on a tripod.

Same for focus etc - seems like it should be easy to reach the focus ring with the left hand when carrying the camera, not quite sure how easy it would be on a tripod

I'm used to using a Lanc controller mounted on the pan arm with my Canon, so maybe I'm spoiled!

I think my usage of the camera would be 50% or more on a tripod.

Any comments would be much appreciated
