Hi Mick,
JVC Australia are now offering the latest firmware update for the 101/111, but it can only be done at a JVC service centre or JVC dealers with their own service departments (such as John Barry). They won't provide the firmware for self-installation. Cheers Glenn |

Surely someone out there has a copy of the firmware upgrade. Anyone?
Please, email it or post it. Seems ridiculous to have return the camera for the upgrade, when users of every other model can simply download and apply themselves. I live in Ireland - which lacks a JVC service centre. I would have to send my HD100 to the UK for the update. Can anyone help? I'm sure I am not alone in this situation. |

Its rumoured that the UK/Pal cameras must be updated by JVC to prevent those without firewire-in enabling it using the update. I don't know how true this is. The 101e has firewire in/out. The 100e has firewire out only.
The US do not have 2 versions of the HD100, only one with firewire in/out. Perhaps this is why they can perform the update themselves. Drew |
