HD1 footage using tiffen softFX3
here's a shot done with the HD1 and a Tiffen SoftFX3 filter (i used that to see if i could reduce the edge enhancement but that didn't worked well.

Alex,
I usually don't have much of a problem with edge enhancement unless I'm shooting long horizontal lines (like power lines). I didn't see any edge enhancement artifacts in the clip you shot? Can you point out some specific segments of the clip? What's the Tiffen filter supposed to do, soften the image slightly? Clip looks good by the way. Troy |

hi troy.
the edge enhancement probleme in that video are for exemple the white dots on the top of the front whell. most of the white dots are "circled" with a little black line. that's what i hate about that camcorder. i hope i'll manage to get the look i want for my next short film, the more i use this cam, the more i want to sell. (and that's probably what i'll do to buy the sony HD camcorder.) |
