HD10 question
Can I hook up my VCR to my HD10 and convert the signal from analog to DV (not HDV) while the HD10 is in VTR mode? I'd like to either put the footage on mini-DV tape or capture it directly onto my G5.
Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks, heath

Yessireee Bob!
You can use the HD10 as an analog pass-through device and go directly to to the PC.
Just set "S/AV INPUT" to "S/AV IN" or "S IN" for S-video in the menu and set the record selector switch to DV. Connect the firewire to the G5 open your DV capture software, press play on the VCR and record on the capture software. The capture software has to have DV by-pass capability otherwise it will try to capture from the tape in the HD10. Troy |
