HD10/HD1 FAQ and HDV Editing Forum Info
Howdy from Texas,
We've reached the point where we've accumulated enough discussion threads about HDV capturing, editing and encoding to warrant moving these topics into their own dedicated forum. That location is: HDV Editing Solutions. A number of threads have been moved already and we're expecting to have the full job completed within 24 hours or so. At the moment, the new HDV editing forum is cross-platform for both Mac and PC, although it some point it will probably branch out to separate platform-specific discussion areas. Hope this helps! Thanks, |

I also would like to add that any and all discussions about the JVC twin terrors, the HD1 and the HD10, shall continue here! And like Chris said, any editing questions, you'll find them at the thread above!
My theory is, as other HDV cameras come out, DV Info will add more threads specific to those cameras. Since NAB is still 5 months away, there's still plenty of time to speculate what's coming next! heath

JVC HD10 FAQ Link--Read first! Many questions answered!
I read the FAQ; JVC is honest and provides plenty of answers, like 1 ccd vs. 3 ccd, other camera comparisons, HD1 vs. HD10 and more. Read this, and I believe many questions will be answered.

One more thing...
We have been getting a couple of posts lately asking about JVC's StreamCorder camera. This is NOT an HDV camera, so please post those questions and comments up in our Open DV Discussion forum. Please only post questions/comments about the JVC HDV cameras, the HD10 and HD1. As more HDV cameras come out (it could be up to 18 months from last August, so around Feb. 2005, since the agreement between Canon, Sony, etc.), we'll add specific forums. An Open HDV Discussion forum is in discussion, too. Thanks, heath
