Good Price on HD10U
I found a site that has the HD10u for $2,749.00
I have not done business with Royal Camera, just searching for best prices (and they will only get better). http://www.royalcamera.com/jvcjyhhigdef.html I will be purchasing mine soon (currently finishing up a project in New Zealand) will be back in San Diego to shoot music videos with the HD10u and learn High Def videography.

Unfortunately, they will never sell it at that price.Royal Camera has soooooooo much bad press, it amazes me that anyone would buy from them.
Want a deal, looat at Promax. You're looking at about 2900. Ask for Rene DBK |

Fernando, it's always a very wise move to check a dealer out here:

better to be safe
Thanks for the update on this dealer's reputation
I will be more careful on my recommendations in the future (price alone is not the best criteria). Best regards

Great Price
Try http://www.buydig.com. They have the camera for $2495 with free shipping. I have purchased from them before as well and they are very professional. I have been watching the price for a while and these guys seem like the best deal AND they have a good reputation.

Has anyone used eCost.com to buy equipment? They use Canada Post's Borderfree shipping service for canadian customers, which calculates all the duties and shipping fees, and would just make life alot easier for me (I ended up paying about $90 shipping and customs fees when I bought Vegas Video a few months back, I don't want to go through that ever again).
So I'd pay about $4300 canadian for the HD10 with shipping, duties and taxes at eCost, as opposed to $4895 for the HD1 at a local store before taxes. |

Elvis,
If you want to buy in Canada, the price is now $5395 and it includes an over the counter 1 year replacement warranty, but more important, it also includes the matte box. I would highly recommend the matte box as it reduces barrell reflections, which can be comon in short lenses. Makes the camera look more professional too. You can contact my dealer, Roy Kerwood at Microtech video Systems at 604-877-1521. He treated me well. DBK |
