Image quality benefit shooting extremely w JVC GY Ls300

I've owned this camera for a couple of years and I love shooting with it, but was curious if there is any advantage to shooting with an external recorder? It isn't capable of shooting in a lossless codec, right? From my research, all you get is 4k/60p. Does it shoot with a bigger bit rate in HD? Just curious...

If 4:2:2 color in an edit ready format benefits you, then yes, an external recorder can help. But if you haven’t had any issues with color correction, chroma-keying or client complaints then no, aside from having a good external monitor, you don’t need it.
