Getting media into Avid MC
Can someone tell me how to get the HD 422 media from the LS300 into Avid Media composer? I delivered some media to a client that edits on MC and they couldn't see the video, only a blank green image. And is there an issue with long clips that are larger than 4GB that are not spanned?
Thanks, Scott |

Re: Getting media into Avid MC
Sounds like the correct AMA plugin for Avid might not be installed on editors computer. This camera shoots different flavors of HD - what codec & frame rate were used? If shot AVCHD, does the editor have the AVCHD plugin installed in Avid? What version of MC is the editor on? And are they trying to AMA link, or import?

Re: Getting media into Avid MC
The media was shot using the 50Mbs 422 YUV codec at 30p. Not sure what edition of Avid MC they are using, but I'd say it's probably a newer version. I'll check back with them this week to see if they had any luck.
