Lens controller for Jib and functions
Dear readers,
We are developing a new style of lens controller for al the Jib users. Our prototype has been running for 2yrs now and we are ready for production. But before we do this we want your opinion and requirements. Our goal is to make a very ergonomic design to control zoom focus and iris for ENG and other camera's Even in the dslr world this might be usefull. We've got some functions in our controller that other controllers are not capable of. I'm not gonna tell all of them ofcourse but it will be an improvement. Since we shoot daily with one man operated jibs we know whats needed. Still It would be helpfull if you've got whishes or needs to let us know. The controller will be available around february 2013. Price is still unsure but will be around 2k Thank you |

Re: Lens controller for Jib and functions
Joey,
Has anything come out of this project? I'm curious to see what you have running. As for me, I would love a lens controller that can switch between ENG (Canon and Fuji, EX-1, EX-3) LANC, and DSLR control, all in one unit. |

Re: Lens controller for Jib and functions
Warren,
Thank you for replying to this post. I hoped there were more jib operators on this forum that would have given there input for this development. In this stage we are fully in development with some companies. We started out with our basic set, which is a basically what jimmy jib offers on there jibs. From that we will start producing our pro model. Which has all the features for every lens. Besides that it will have an integrated LCD panel with menu to select your preferences. A high-end product. I can't really put a date to the first batch yet but I think this will be around december the latest. Input or requirements are still very wanted since we our always open for suggestions. Regards Joey |

Re: Lens controller for Jib and functions
Joey, I would love to see pictures or block diagrams of your product when it's available! Another thing I would like is if the end of the cable terminates with a high quality slip ring that allows infinite rotation of the jib head.
