Well I recieved the Bogen 028 and used it this weekend at an outdoor event that ended up having strong winds, 25-30 mpg. And I'm happy to report that the tripod is rock solid, no concerns about it blowing over and gets me to a perfect height for the type of stuff I do.
Thanks for everyone's help. I'll definetely look into the spider pod when I have want to go even higher.
