sending PAL footage to America -2 questions

Hi guys,

I was asked to send the PAL footage I was recording to America.

So, can I convert it to ntsc for them?

and how should I send it?By internet means or on a dvd data disk?It is about 15 minutes of footage.

Much thanks,

Brian.

Re: sending PAL footage to America -2 questions

If you were sending it to me, I'd prefer to do the conversion myself. But I'm an editor. Is this for pros or "normal" folk?

What format? File size would determine how I would ask for it. Usb keys are pretty cheap now. I'd probably do that.

Re: sending PAL footage to America -2 questions

It is for a some colleagues in America, a disability service of sorts. Nothing to do with media. But they know a company that will make the videos for them. I will send the raw footage and let them sort it out I think.

It is about 15 minutes of SD footage, Im only halfway through capturing all the tapes so dont know the file size yet. I will pick the best 10-20 mins of interviews to send to them. It should fit on a usb key. Or put them on a data dvd, cheaper.

Thanks for the help.

Ask them first give them all your options .. it'll be a pain if you have to do it twice.

Cheers.
